Environmentally Sustainable & Fair Trade

The Malini Brand and its policy of Eco-sustainability and Fair Trade

In each of our creations, our brand expresses love of family, tradition and authenticity and communicates this through the namesake, Malini, which is of Indian origin and belonged to the woman in the family who inspired our creations.

The charm, elegance and bright colors of India are, in fact, the protagonists of our garments, in which, however, the strength of Made in Italy emerges with equal energy.

Twocountries, two cultures and two realities, the Western and the Eastern, that blend and mingle in many creations of exceptional uniqueness and refinement, entirely handmade by expert artisans.

However, our greatest strength lies in the way we work, as we follow environmentally sustainable and fair trade in every aspect, to do no harm to nature, our great inspirational muse, and to support in every way that there are our extraordinary artisans.

In this way we feel more responsible to the environment in which we live and to the people who buy or work in our company.

The benefits of environmentally sustainable trade

Malini brandclothing, accessories and all clothing are made from certified raw materials, carefully chosen and treated with respect.

Our production always takes place according to environmentally sustainable and eco-friendly processes to protect the environment and thus live better in an atmosphere of harmony between man and nature.

Most of our garments are made from 100 percent organic cotton, and the printing and painting of our garments are done by certified dyehouses that use "azo-free" or "heavy metal" dyes or, where applicable, vegetable color.

We give softness to our garments mechanically and not chemically, we do not use chlorine bleach at all, and we detest energy waste, so much so that we always prefer handloom and semi-automatic handloom for processing our garments.

Our company strives every day to reduce waste, recycle and reuse materials, waste and products that are purchased from other companies for reuse in new production.

The advantage of working and producing according to an environmentally friendly principle is that we save energy (we use solar energy), water(we recycle rainwater, return it to nature without wasting any more) and recycle all our residues and waste, often selling some of them to third-party companies that use them in their production. In this waywe are also able to pay our artisans more, also saving money by not using traders or middlemen.

In essence, our company aims to safeguard the fertility of soil and water resources, to pass them on intact to subsequent generations.

The benefits of green trade

Fair trade helps us provide better conditions for workers, an issue close to our hearts.

The cotton we use in the production of our clothes is grown by Indian farmers who receive a fair price and are able to cover the costs and effort invested by the farmers themselves. In this way, the Malini brand seeks to help achieve not only better trading conditions, but also better living conditions in the local communities of workers in the world's poorest countries.

The benefits of fair trade are many, but in particular it creates new employment and training opportunities, does not employ child or forced labor, reduces incidents of discrimination and smuggling, and generally provides better health and safety conditions at work.

All this encourages entrepreneurship and seeks to increase the economic development of communities that still base their livelihoods entirely on agriculture.
