Shawl in 50% wool and 50% cotton, yarn dyed and loom woven: cream ground with taupe and dusty pink stripes. Size 100 x 200 cm (39 x 79 in), with a short fringe.
Wide taupe and dusty pink stripes alternate on a cream ground, like the sunset light it is named after. A soft palette that looks great with camel, gray, denim and white. The wool and cotton yarns are dyed before weaving and then woven on a loom: that is why the stripes are crisp and the color runs right through the fabric, the same on both sides. Wool brings warmth, cotton makes it soft and light, and the shawl drapes well over the shoulders without feeling heavy. We work directly with the artisans in India, with no middlemen, and visit their workshops in person.
