Shawl in 100% Tussar Ahimsa silk, hand spun, hand woven and hand block printed: gray blue ground, petrol blue leaves. Size 65 x 210 cm (26 x 83 in), with knotted fringes.

Large petrol blue leaves printed on a gray blue ground: on raw silk the color settles unevenly and every leaf is slightly different. Wider than the stoles, it can be worn as a shawl over the shoulders or wrapped like a scarf. Tussar Ahimsa silk comes from Assam: it is a raw silk, thicker than Eri, with a slightly rougher hand and a lively, irregular texture you can see even in the photos. It is hand spun, woven on a hand loom and hand printed with carved wooden blocks, using azo free colors. We work directly with the artisans in India, with no middlemen, and visit their workshops in person.
